Journey at The Rose Bowl July 2, 1982

I had seen Journey on the "Escape Tour" already, but then in 1982 they toured again playing huge arenas.

It was a hot summer day in Los Angeles. I had never been to the Rose Bowl since I was very young. It was so big and had these great tunnels out to the stands. Before the show and between the Triumph and Blue Oyster Cult sets they would spray water into the audience in front of the stage.

It had cooled down a bit by the time Journey came on and they put on a fantastic show that night. It was over before I knew it and the fireworks were shooting off into the Pasadena sky for over 5 minutes.

This was July 2nd, 1982 and it was the biggest event I'd been to so far...

Journey Force Newsletter - Fall 1981

This is the earliest Journey Force newsletter that I seem to have. These newsletters will be part of the Tuesday morning 10:00 AM Pacific time "Journey Force" posts.

It was an exciting time to be part of the Journey fan club. I'm not sure how often these were mailed out to the fans, but I know it wasn't every month as promised, which made it even more exciting to get. The newsletter was really the only way to hear news about the band.

Here's a great item I found! The Journey Greatest Hits Collector's Edition CD. This is a 8 inch version of the Album with a 16 page booklet.

The cover has a gate-fold showing full color 8 inch photos of the band.

The booklet is 16 pages of fantastic photos of the band over the years. The photos are of the different versions of the band over the years.

In 1983 Journey and Bally Midway released an arcade video game that would be found in arcades. This was not for home gaming systems. It was very advanced for the time.

This is my old Journey Frontiers watch from 1983. I've never worn it, so it's in excellent condition. It's a great watch. I bought this from through the Journey Force International Fan Club. I thought it was great and I've never even worn a watch.
