From Radio Station WPLJ 95.5 in New York during the 1983 "Frontiers Tour"...
I'm not sure which tour this WMET 95.5 sticker was given out in Chicago...
And here we have my local station in Los Angeles, California, KLOS 95.5...

It's interesting to see the different stickers and colors used by stations across the US. I certainly remember KLOS 95.5! That sticker was everywhere in the 80's. Notice that the sticker says 95 1/2. At some point in the late 80's or early 90's, the station made the change to 95.5. I always wondered why they did this. Was it to make the name a little more modern sounding? Did it just sound better when the DJ's said it? Or did they do it to adapt to new modern digital radio dials?
