Journey Escape Tour CD and DVD packages

The Journey Live In Houston CD and DVD packages.

What a great present this was for us fans who loved this concert!

This was first recorded on November 6, 1981 at the Houston Summit.

It first aired on MTV in 1982 with a stereo simulcast on different radio stations across the Country.

The audio has been broadcast a few times since but this was first time the Video and stereo audio have been available.

What also makes it special is the Steve Perry produced the DVD and CD for the 2005 release...

  1. Great show, but I wish they'd released it with the 16:9 widescreen mode it was stretched to. I watched this one again a week ago and there is no way (even with modern HDTV's, Blu-Ray players, etc to not have the 4:3 ratio video not be stretched to 16:9 widescreen. But I'm glad we have the 5.1 Dolby Digital audio and video at all that was officially released, so I'm not complaining... :-)

    1. This video was shot in 1981 when 4X3 was the standard. Watching the video can only best be seen in 4X3. Stretching it to 16X9 is making the image wider. To properly do this, they would need to blow up the image and crop each shot individually.

  2. In one video you were able to 'capture' all the legends: Roger Moore, Journey, Ron South, and Uncle Remus.
